J. Carter Wiley

Mr. Wiley has been active in the sales, leasing and development of industrial property in the Greater West Prince William County/City of Manassas, Culpeper County and Fauquier County markets for over 25 years. Starting in 1988 as a field superintendent for Centennial Investment, Mr. Wiley oversaw the construction and development of three industrial parks in Loudoun and Prince William Counties. From 1990-1992, Mr. Wiley worked as a commercial appraiser for Metropolitan Valuation appraising commercial properties ranging from raw land to tenanted office buildings for various lending institutions in Northern Virginia. In 1992, Mr. Wiley started The Wiley Companies, a full-service real estate brokerage firm specializing in industrial properties in Prince William, Culpeper and Fauquier Counties. In 1994, Wiley Property Management was created and retained by Ontra, Inc. (RTC asset partner) to administer the day to day and management of over $70 million/750,000 sf in assets located in Fairfax, Loudoun & Prince William and West Virginia. Over the next 20 years Mr. Wiley has represented owners, developers, and end-users for office and industrial space and land with yearly company sales/leases averaging $26 M per year. Mr. Wiley is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Wiley serves on several non-profit and for-profit boards, including Ombundsman for Heritage Hunt, a senior living PUD and Virginians for Sensible Energy Policies, and Chairman of the Board of the Vint Hill Economic Development Authority, and is an active volunteer within his community.

Erica R. Stumvoll, Principal

Erica Stumvoll, PrincipalDuring her 18 year professional career prior to and with The Wiley Companies, Ms. Stumvoll has had extensive, hands-on experience in nearly every facet of real estate management, including acquisition, due diligence, development, construction, marketing, financing, asset management and disposition of over 3,000,000 s.f. in a mix of office, industrial and retail products.  Prior to serving with The Wiley Companies, Ms. Stumvoll was responsible for the implementation of real estate services provided to institutional clients, focusing asset management strategies and on transactional activities associated with 800,000 s.f. of industrial, retail and office properties.
Previously, Ms. Stumvoll served as Director of Development Services for the Atlantic Realty Companies.  In this capacity, she managed a broad range of real estate services (master planning, zoning, leasing, construction management, asset management/repositioning and disposition) for institutional clients and in-house projects
Prior to joining Atlantic Realty, Ms. Stumvoll was a Development Manager with The Centennial Companies, a full-service commercial real estate company in the mid-Atlantic.  Ms. Stumvoll holds a JD/MBA in finance and a BA in Economics from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is a member of the American and Georgia Bar Associations, and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Ms. Stumvoll is fluent in Spanish, having been raised in Panama, and volunteers within her home community of The Plains, Virginia.

Arianna Dunning, Associate

Born and raised in Northern Fauquier County, Ms. Dunning has obtained a strong understanding of the local markets and the regulatory and environmental landscapes. Ms. Dunning joined The Wiley Companies, Inc. in 2016. Leading up to her career in real estate, Ms. Dunning served as project manager for a land acquisition team under FarmLink, Inc., targeting properties that benefit investors economically while also preserving the environmental integrity of the land. Previous experience also includes property management under The Franklin Johnston Group, namely working with tax credit projects. Other specialties consist of digital marketing and design and work with GIS applications. Ms. Dunning holds a BA in History from Virginia Tech.
